Getting Start
Q: Who can apply for a wholesale account?
A: Our wholesale service is open to restaurants, cafés, retail shops, sole traders and other businesses purchasing in bulk.
Q: How do I register for wholesale & obtain wholesale discounts?
A: First, create an account with us and complete our wholesale registration form. Once reviewed, our wholesale team will grant you access to view wholesale prices.
Q: Can I order fresh vegetables through wholesale?
A: Fresh vegetables are only available for local or self-collection customers. Even if your wholesale account is approved, you must email wholesale@orientalmart.co.uk for separate access to fresh vegetable pricing.
Quotations
Q: How do I request a quotation?
A: Add items to your cart as usual and select “Request for Quote” at checkout. Our wholesale team will respond within 2–3 working days.
Q: How long is a quotation valid?
A: Quotation prices are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Ordering, Payment & Credit Terms
Q: What is the minimum wholesale order?
A: The minimum wholesale order is £250 (excluding shipping).
Q: How do I place a wholesale order?
A: Add items to your cart and select “Place an Order” at checkout.
Q: What happens after I place an order?
- Our wholesale team will check stock availability and confirm pricing.
- If an item is out of stock, we’ll let you know how long restock will take or suggest immediate alternatives.
- You’ll usually receive a response within 2–3 working days.
- Once everything is confirmed and payment is made, delivery is usually arranged within 2–5 working days.
Q: When do I need to pay for my order?
A: Payment must be made after confirmation of the order and before dispatch.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We currently accept bank transfer only for wholesale orders. Bank details will be provided on your pro forma invoice.
If you would like to pay by credit card, please email us at wholesale@orientalmart.co.uk to request this option. A transaction fee will apply to all credit card payments.
Q: Can I get credit (delayed payment) terms?
A: Yes — but only in specific cases:
- Credit terms may be granted to long-term wholesale customers with a reliable payment history.
- Credit terms must be requested by email and approved by our wholesale team.
- Standard UK wholesale practice is typically Net 30 days, but exact terms will depend on your agreement with us.
Delivery
Q: Where do you deliver?
A: We currently deliver wholesale orders within the UK only.
Q: How will my order be shipped?
A:
- Smaller wholesale orders are sent by parcel courier (DPD).
- Larger wholesale orders are delivered by pallet service.
Q: Do you offer free delivery?
A: Yes — we offer free delivery on qualifying wholesale orders above £900. Please contact our wholesale team for the current free delivery threshold (note: frozen/chilled deliveries may not qualify).
Q: How long does delivery take?
A: Once your order has been confirmed and payment received, delivery is usually arranged within 2–5 working days.
Q: Are there any special rules for frozen or chilled orders?
A:
- Delivery charges for perishable wholesale orders are higher than our standard postage rates and are not included in the free delivery offer.
- Orders exceeding two standard parcels (maximum 28kg per parcel) will require delivery by a temperature-controlled van.
Returns & Refunds
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: Wholesale orders are non-returnable, except in the case of damaged or incorrect items.
Q: What if my order arrives damaged or incomplete?
A:
- Please check your delivery immediately upon arrival.
- If there are any issues, contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order, providing details and (if possible) photos of the damage.
- We will arrange a refund, replacement, or credit note for the affected items once the claim is verified.
