Hatakosen Melon is a vibrant and sweet Japanese Ramune Soda. Fizzy soft drinks were introduced to Japan in 1884 by a traveling British pharmacist. His introduction of the glass bottled soft drinks that were starting to increase in popularity in the west, led to the creation of Ramune in Japan, served in traditional codd-neck heavy glass bottles. The Ramune is kept carbonated by a marble placed at the top rather than a traditional cap. Most Ramune suppliers have stuck to this traditional method of sealing the bottle. The name “Ramune” is a Japanese derivation of the word lemonade. Hatakosen's Melon Ramune Soda is packed full of fruity Japanese melon flavour. Delicate, light, sweet and very, very fruity. Ramune is best served chilled, straight out of the fridge. The Kawaii bottles are a collector's dream.
