Lee Kum Kee is a Hong Kong-based food company which specializes in manufacturing a wide range of Chinese and Asian sauces. Lee Kum Kee was founded in 1888 by a chef at a cooked oyster shop in Guangdong village near Shenzhen. The story goes that after leaving a barrel of oysters to ferment, he discovered they created a delicious rich brown liquid, which is the origin of modern oyster and XO sauce. Lee Kum Kee now produces more than 200 Chinese-style sauces, including oyster sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, XO sauce, and chilli sauce. Lee Kum Kee’s Sichuan Style Kung Pao Chicken Stir-fry Sauce is a packet of ready-to-go sauce for the classic Sichuan dish of the same name. Kung Pao chicken is a spicy, stir-fried dish typically made with chicken, peanuts, Chinese vegetables, Sichuan peppercorns, and chilli peppers. Simply add the sauce to your wok or frying pan with the rest of your ingredients, cook thoroughly, and serve with either noodles or rice.
